Journalling Inspiration 103: Make your 'MASTER IT' list. I mastered & I will master...

Updated: Feb 10

As we step into 2025, it is time to reflect on what you have mastered and what you aspire to master. The 'MASTER IT' List is the ultimate journaling exercise to acknowledge both your growth and your aspirations.

At Grid Society, we believe that self-awareness is the key to continuous growth. This exercise is about celebrating where you are and defining where you are going.

Gridlist 103: The Instruction

START: As you embrace a new year or a new season, there are two statements you should be able to complete quickly, with clarity, confidence, and accuracy:

🔹 I am the master of... (list here)🔹 I will master... (list here)

One statement represents your past accomplishments and current state, while the other defines your future focus and vision. One statement reinforces your confidence, while the other gives you direction.

Take a moment to write your answers. Here is how to structure this list:

List all the things that answer “I am the master of…”

  • Reflect on your strengths and expertise.

  • Skills, achievements or personal qualities you have already mastered.

List the things that answer “I will master…”

  • Identify areas you want to grow in.

Include specific skills, projects, or habits you want to cultivate in 2025.

Examples for Your Gridlist 103:

I am the master of...

1️⃣ Time Management I efficiently plan my days, set priorities, and meet deadlines without feeling overwhelmed.

2️⃣ Public Speaking I communicate with confidence and clarity, engaging my audience and delivering impactful messages.

3️⃣ Resilience I have faced challenges head-on and have learned to adapt, bounce back, and keep moving forward.

I will master...

1️⃣ Financial Growth & Wealth Building I will develop smarter saving and investing habits to create long-term financial security.

2️⃣ Advanced Fitness & Strength Training I will push my body further, improve endurance, and achieve my highest level of physical fitness.

3️⃣ Learning a New Language I will commit to daily practice and immerse myself in a new language to expand my global connections.

Every mastery builds on the foundation of past success—and every new goal leads to continuous growth!

In Short

This challenge is simple yet powerful. The first statement allows you to reflect on your past achievements and recognise the areas where you excel. By intentionally defining what you have mastered and what you will master, you create a roadmap for success and ensure you are always striving for excellence.
